In your opinion, what is the best way to enforce safety measures on the flying field?

In a previous thread, Hisham posted some safety guidelines that you can check here, but so far, I guess everything is left to the common sense of the pilot to abide by these rules or not.

hi, in my opinion , i find that the way pilots stand on the runway while flying is very dangerous . we should chose one place to stand in while flying so we can all be close to each others this way we can inform the other pilots about anyhting that might happen with us in emergency cases or so ... thanx

I think that a frequency board is a must !And the center of the runway should be a dead line not to cross. To be also on the safe sidewe should think about an insurance ! Sebouh had the best price 75$ ... I am paying mine 350$ Since 10 years ...When i sent them a copy of Sebouh's one they said that they may consider making it for me for 175$ but they cannot go less ??? Guy is right we should consider safety as our Nr.1 concern !

Speaking of the frequency board Pete, it is been a while we haven't seen Hugo. The board he made is excellent and would certainly move things forward.
Regarding the insurance, it is essential indeed to ask around and find out the exact difference in terms and policies between several companies since the price gap is somehow noticeable.

Guyo , i will be caling Hugo to ask about the freq. board .He was supposed to have it finished although i'm not sure all freq. had been reported to him , but this is an issu we can solve once the board will be up there . For the insurance we should all ask about it to get the best price and i will stop mine and join you !

How about the safety of our own expensive models.??

Knowing that there is a lot of guys shooting
as well as messing around the field!

More, lets start a thread that posts all the relative
frequencies that you guys are using... ie each
and every listed modeller will post the frequency
he is using!!! Maybe it will be a good idea to
gather all this info.!!!!
Cheers
Hisham

Scratch building is my way. !! Dont u just Hate it when a warbird crashes...... A scale model is like a good book. The more you look, the more you discover.

Actually Hisham, we are working on the frequencies chart along with Hugo, and it will be available on the field and on this site as well.
