MOUINIR ,THIS IS REALLY INGENIOUS.THOUGH I HATE THIS STUFF, BUT I AM GREATLY IMPRESSED.EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP.
TRY ATTACHING THE SPONGY "ANTI STRESS BALLS", ON ALL AXIS AS "LANDING GEARS"....?

scratch building is fun...use that right angle to set EACH WINGTIP at a minimum height of 6.5 cm...

Very interesting to compare with Mounirz systemThumbs I don't know why they use these contra rotative or opposed motors Question

I believe this is primarily for redundancy/safety + more thrust. i.e. you get the reliability of an octocopter in a small form factor. In a quad, if a single engine or esc goes bad, the outcome is catastrophic...

here is the story from my side,
i have built and sucessfully flown the OCTA Quad and here is my input.
the difference between them is that Octa quads have a smaller frame thus you shave weight from the whole copter which is ideal. i shaved 600gms from removing 4 arms and a smaller center plate.
the drawback though having two porps facing each other is not a great idea you tend to loose a certain percentage in efficiency.
Octa Quads have better yaw since the motors on the same axis counter rotate and thus eliminate the gyro effect in a better way than normal OCTO copters.
to add to that for forward movement or side to side you have the whole set of motors which is 4 for ex for forward movement you have the four motors in the back increase power. since you are flying in an X configuration. same applies for yaw.
the OCTA Quad feels better in control in the air it holds all axis in a better way. i didn't have time to fly it more yet. so far i like this one more Smile
